Lots of exposition on this page and it all works smoothly, in not for a slightly cumbersome second panel. I like the close-up in panel 3 for the reaction shot as the gravity of Griggs’ situation finally hits him.

I was thinking it might be interesting to explore a metaphor for this situation, to better reflect Griggs’ nature (for good or ill). For instance, if he were guilty, perhaps showing a rat in the foreground, scurrying for an insect to eat or something to that effect. In an emotional page like this, it might be worthwhile to pull away and establish the setting a bit, using that metaphor (or maybe not, I’m not certain at this point). Good use of motion lines in the fourth panel.

As always, great work!

SYNOPSIS:

OilCan Drive is the story of an outlaw rock and roll band traveling through the futuristic wastelands of America in a stolen airship. With an ex-hockey player as its lead singer, a former soldier playing lead guitar, a runaway girl on drums, and a giant gorilla playing bass guitar; it's a post-apocalyptic Western with a rock and roll soundtrack. It's Josie and the Pussycats meets Joss Whedon's Firefly. It's the story of a band that is, literally, on the run.
